CHIANG Kai Shek College and De La Salle-Zobel finished the preliminaries with an undefeated slate on Tuesday in the Philippine Secondary Schools Basketball Championship Jumbo Plastic Linoleum Cup at the Philippine Buddhacare Academy gym.
Martin Galinato had 14 points as the CKSC Blue Dragons beat Adamson, 55-47, to go 2-0 and advance to the quarterfinals along with Mapua in Group B. Galinato was named Freego Best Player of the Game.
The Junior Archers beat Lyceum, 85-56, in Group A to also reach the quarterfinals unbeaten.
CKSC will take on Lyceum while De La Salle-Zobel will face Mapua in the quarterfinals set Thursday.
Hope Christian High School notched its first win, beating University of Santo Tomas, 75-71, to also advance to the quarterfinals in Group D. Harvey Pagsanjan had 17 points and 11 rebounds for Hope.
Arellano defeated Far Eastern University-Diliman, 74-72, in Group C play to also clinch a spot in the quarterfinals. Guilmer Dela Torre scored 15 points for the Braves.
Hope Christian High School faces Xavier, while Arellano takes on San Beda in the quarterfinals.
