The Philippines’ born 2004 squad barely broke a sweat as it dispatched Italy-FilCom Basketball Association, 76-49, to stay unbeaten in the PSL Global Championship Challenge at the Victoria Sports Club on Wednesday.
Forcing Italy to one turnover after another, the Filipino squad bannered by the Davao-NTB Wolves scored 30 points off the 23 turnovers from their Fil-Italian counterparts.
They also paraded their depth, outpointing their counterparts 51-8 in bench points, while also flexing in their muscles in the paint as they took a 54-14 advantage in inside points in the blowout win.
Likewise staying unscathed is the Philippines’ born 2006 squad represented by University of San Jose-Recoletos after blasting the hapless New Zealand-Fil Nation Select, 89-35.
Shuan Grava starred in the blowout, scoring 13 points while Jaylord Pepito and Gab Pasaol added 12 and 11 points apiece as they also moved on to the next phase in PSL's biggest event yet with a 3-0 record.
