DAVID Carlos is taking his final flight.
The 32-year-old high-flyer is treating the 2020 Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas 3x3 President's Cup powered by TM as his swansong, setting this year as his last hurrah as a competitor.
"Physically, tumatanda na tayo at marami na kong injuries na nilalabanan ko na lang. For me, baka yun na yung sinasabi ng katawan ko na it's time to call it a day," he said.
A fine dunker at just 5-foot-9, Carlos has featured in numerous contests in the Fiba 3x3 World Tour, winning the dunk contest of the 2018 Fiba 3x3 World Cup.

Carlos admitted that his age is slowly catching up on him.
Not to mention the global COVID-19 pandemic throwing a wrench on his plans.
"Frustrating lang for me na nade-delay yung plans," he said.
With the recent turn of events, Carlos took the opportunity to secure a certification from the Australian Strength and Conditioning Association during the quarantine period, making him a legitimate fitness coach.
That, though, is still in the future.

Carlos is locked in making a triumphant curtain call as he faces Darwin Cantong and Jesus Manay in the dunk contest in all five legs of the President's Cup, with the winners taking home P20,000 per leg starting on Wednesday.
"One of the last competitions ko na ito because I'm still hoping that the Fiba pro circuit returns next year," he said. "But if this is it, wala akong regrets and it has been a wonderful journey."
