EX-PBA players Prince Caperal, John Wilson, and Mark Yee were released by their respective teams as the MPBL entered its trading and free agency window.
Caperal as well as Marion Magat and Mark Montuano were released by the Abra Weavers, while Wilson and Yee were let go by South Cotabato Warriors and Paranaque Patriots, respectively.
Fonzo Gotladera (Valenzuela) and Ralph Olivares and John Lopez (Mindoro) were also released.

The MPBL began the trading and free agency window last Wednesday and it will run until June 30 to allow teams to rejig and strengthen their roster.
Among the big names released was Caperal, who played for NorthPort in last season’s PBA wars. The former PBA Most Improved Player averaged 5.3 points and 4.9 rebounds for the Weavers in this year’s MPBL season.
Yee, meanwhile, posted averages of 7.7 points and 10.5 rebounds for the Patriots before being released.
Wilson was let go even though he is South Cotabato’s scoring leader at 11.9 points per game.

Unconfirmed reports bared Wilson may be headed to league powerhouse Nueva Ecija.
On Wednesday, Bong Galanza was signed by Zamboanga Master Sardines, Tonino Gonzaga was picked up by Manila, and Josh Flores was acquired by Iloilo.
