PNP shoots for second straight win as AFP, DOJ clash for share of early lead in UNTV Cup

PHILIPPINE National Police (PNP) shoots for its second straight win while Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and Department of Justice dispute for a share of the early lead on Saturday in the UNTV Cup Executive Face Off at the Pasig City Sports Center.

The PNP Responders collide with the Senate Sentinels at 5 p.m. with the former out to follow-up their massive 82-37 win over the Bureau of Customs Transformers in the opener last week.

Out to lead PNP in the event organized by UNTV president and CEO Daniel Razon are Israel Dickson, Dexter Vitug, Peter Limbauan and Alex Sintin.

Meanwhile, the Justice Boosters and the Cavaliers clash at 3:30 p.m. with both teams likewise going for a second straight win after winning their opening day assignments.

Getting 20 points from Gen. Gener del Rosario and 18 points from Col. Kiram Grajo, the Cavaliers trounced the Senate Sentinels, 88-69, while the Justice Boosters downed the Judiciary Magis, 56-50.
