A GROUP of overseas Filipino workers are leaving a mark in Doha, Qatar through its sports clinics.

Last September 12, Pinoy XPATS completed its latest skills development program where 51 participants in volleyball and 45 in basketball aged 5 to 17 years old finished their Level 1 and Level 2 skill sets at the Debakey High School.

The group is made up of Filipino OFWs who are doing part-time coaching in Doha.

“Our goal is to promote a healthy lifestyle among the Filipino youth through sports,” said Rey Eusebio, one of the coaches of group founded in 2008.

Eusebio, an IT administrator for an architectural firm in Doha, said there is a deep sense of fulfillment in conducting clinics not only for Filipinos but also for other nationals.

“More than winning games or tournaments na sinasalihan namin is ‘yung appreciation lang ng mga participating kids, sobrang fulfilling na,” said Eusebio.
