THE Pilipinas Aguilas reached the semifinals of the Filbasket International Championship after beating Adroit Sports Association of Singapore, 86-69, at the MABA Stadium in Kuala Lumpur.
The Aguilas are the only Philippine-based team left in the tournament, clinching a semifinal berth after taking second spot in Group A with a 3-1 win-loss slate.

The Aguilas will face Group B top seed KL Aseel in the semifinals on Saturday, 6 p.m.
The other bracket will feature Harimau Malaysia, the first placer in Group A, taking on MBC Basketball Club.
The Philippine club founded by Luis Dela Paz lost to the national team-backed Harimau Malaysia, 84-77, in its first outing but racked up three straight wins to finish the group stage.
The Aguilas, with the core of Raffy Reyes, Allan Mangahas, Mac Baracael, Biboy Enguio, Darwish Bederi, and Prince Eze also defeated fellow Philippine-based team BGC Builders, 79-61, and Bumi Borneo, 74-63, in Group A.
Eze had 20 points and 13 rebounds in the win over BGC Builders, while Baracael had 23 points against Bumi Borneo.
