BUCKLING up its preparation for the Olympic Qualifying Tournament next year, the Philippines is set to host another Fiba 3x3-endorsed Super Quest come December.
Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas 3x3 league owner Ronald Mascarinas announced the development as the top Filipino 3x3 players continued to grind even with the World Tour season over.
Though the voyage has been grueling, the players know what they're sacrificing for.
"Our bodies and minds are tired. But we have to make the ultimate sacrifice for the country," said Joshua Munzon.
"We only have one shot at making it to the Olympics and we have to remain sharp heading into it. Having little to no breaks is our ultimate sacrifice for each and every Filipino who believes in us."
Munzon, together with Alvin Pasaol, Santi Santillan and Troy Rike represented the country in the Jakarta 3×3 International Invitational Challenge 2019 last week, winning against some of the Southeast Asian Games-bound squads.
And they're expected to be on the court anew together with their fellow top 3x3 players as the Philippines is set to field two squads in the Super Quest.
Tokyo Dime of Japan ruled the first Asia Pacific Super Quest, topping the Pasaol and Santillan-led 1Bataan in the Finals back in April.
