THE Philippines completed a sweep of the Seaba Under-16 championships with an 84-44 trouncing over Singapore on Thursday night in Indonesia.
The Nationals won all of their four games capped by a lopsided victory over winless Singapore to gain a slot in the Fiba-Asia Under-16 championships in Tehran, Iran.
Jose Lorenzo Mendoza was named MVP.
The youth cagers coach by Jamike Jarin had the game in the bag as early as the first period when they grabbed a 33-12 lead entering the second.
The Filipinos beat Indonesia, 87-52, in their first outing on Monday before escaping with a 76-72 victory over Malaysia.
The Under-16 cagers then scored an 82-58 win over Thailand.
