The PCYAA high school selection team left for Taiwan to play in  a series of friendship games

A SELECTION from the Philippine Ching Yuen Athletic Association (PCYAA) left Sunday to participate in a series of friendship games in Taiwan.

Host Grace Christian College, through the leadership of president Dr. James L. Tan, will be spearheading the project made up of 27 members composed of 15 players, 12 school officials and board members representing the eight PCYAA schools.

The team will travel to Taiwan and the cities of Taipei, Taoyuan, and Taichung to play six exhibition games against various high school boys basketball teams.

The players from the PCYAA junior ranks were selected by coaches and board members to represent the association in the meet, which they hope would become an annual endeavor.

The team will be handled by Grace Christian College coach Raymund Barretto Tiongco and assistant Steven Julian Go Tan.

The selection is comprised of eight Filipino-Chinese schools, namely, Grace Christian College, St. Peter The Apostle School, MGC New Life Christian Academy, Pace Academy, Jubillee Christian Academy, St. Jude Catholic School, Uno High School, and Philippine Cultural College.

The friendship games will be held until June 11.
