PCU Dolphins, Lyceum Subic topple twice-to-beat teams to reach Naascu semis

PHILIPPINE Christian University and Lyceum Subic Bay overcame higher-ranked foes to move to the semifinals of the 16th National Athletic Association for Schools, Colleges, and Universities basketball tournament at the Makati Coliseum.

The Dolphins edged Enderun Colleges, 66-62, while the Sharks needed overtime to defeat Philippine Merchant Marine School, 74-72, to complete their come-from-behind win.

PCU and Lyceum Subic Bay advanced to the semifinals despite being the sixth and fifth ranked squads, turning back foes with twice-to-beat advantages in the quarterfinal round.

The Dolphins take on top seed Our Lady of Fatima University Phoenix while the Sharks battle St. Clare College to start in the best-of-three semifinals starting on Thursday.
