VETERAN Yousef Taha was rushed to the hospital after complaining for shortness of breath.
The Phoenix big man was on the team bench during its PBA Philippine Cup game against Converge at the Ynares Center in Antipolo when the incident happened.
He was taken out in the 9:04 mark of the fourth quarter.
Medics inside the venue promptly attended on Taha before he was stretchered out and taken to the hospital.
The Fuel Masters lost to the FiberXers, 128-114, as they dropped to a 1-3 record.
Reached out for comment by Spin.ph, Phoenix management said it's a suspected case of hypoglycaemia.
"He was rushed earlier because he felt week and almost fainted," said Phoenix team manager Paolo Bugia.
But the 37-year-old Fil-foreigner appeared to be in better condition now.
"He's OK, being given IV and oxygen at the hospital and recovering naman," added Bugia.
Taha played closed to 17 minutes and finished with three points and four rebounds.
The 6-foot-8 Taha was signed by Phoenix in the off-season after previously playing for the Abra Weavers in the MPBL.
