RAIN or Shine coach Yeng Guiao blamed the referees for the fight involving his import Jaylen Johnson and TNT's Glenn Khobuntin on Friday in their PBA 50th Season Commissioner's Cup contest.
Guiao said the referees lost control of the game by allowing a lot of physicality in the game that eventually led to Johnson and Khobuntin throwing punches at each other during the 6:20-mark of the fourth quarter.
Johnson and Khobuntin were given a flagrant foul two and were automatically ejected in the contest.

“Medyo unfortunate ‘yung nangyari. I think the referees just lost control of the game that time. They were allowing too much contact,” said Guiao.
Guiao also defended his import, saying that Johnson is a good guy and was provoked in the game.
“It's just too bad nangyari ‘yung incident. But sobrang bait ng taong ‘yun. Kaya lang ‘yun dahil pinikon talaga siya eh,” said Guiao.
“Kung gusto kong pikunin ‘yung import ng ibang team, gagawin ko lang, isang basurang player, papasuntok ko lang ‘yung player na ‘yun. Ganun lang ‘yung nangyari,” he added.
Nevertheless, Guiao was glad that his team was able to overcome the absence of Johnson, who set the tone for his team when he had 33 points and nine rebounds while shooting 6-of-13 from the threes.
“When it happened, I knew parang imposibleng manalo."
