RAIN or Shine coach Yeng Guiao has been fined P20,000 by the PBA Commissioner's Office for bumping San Miguel Beer guard Chris Ross in Game One of their PBA Philippine Cup semifinal series on Tuesday night.
Guiao got a technical for bumping Ross while the SMB guard prepared to make an inbound inbound infront of the Rain or Shine bench. Ross and RoS banger Beau Belga were also slapped a technical following the commotion.
No suspensions were handed out.
Belga, who shoved Ross during the altercation, was later slapped with a similar P20,000 fine after a game that saw the Beermen battle back from a 20-point fourth-quarter deficit to pull off a dramatic 109-105 win.
Ross was spared from punishment.

The penalty is no longer new for Guiao, easily the most outspoken coach in the league who has racked up fines amounting to six figures in a long, colorful career that has produced six PBA championships.
But this punishment is his first from new commissioner Chito Narvasa, the man who succeeded him as president of the Basketball Coaches Association of the Philippines (BCAP), and a longtime friend.
Also slapped similar P1,600 penalties for technical fouls during the highly emotional game were Rain or Shine players Raymond Almazan and Jericho Cruz and SMB reserve slotman Yancy De Ocampo.
