TITAN Ultra might be on one bad stretch losing four successive games, but Rain or Shine coach Yeng Guiao likes what he sees from this new PBA franchise.

Fresh off a pulsating 112-111 escape, Guiao was left impressed by the fight from the Giant Risers afte rROS played catch-up basketball for most of the ball game before stealing the win through four clutch free throws from Anton Asistio.

With more of these games, Guiao won’t be surprised to see the league regain interest from the public soon.

“This is exactly what I was saying. These are the games that the fans love. Ito yung mga gusto nilang panoorin,” Guiao said.

“Sino ba si Titan? Bagong-bagong team pero ang galing lumaban. Ang galing nilang humanap ng paraan to stay in the game,” he added.

Always an advocate of independent squads, Guiao is optimistic about this franchise’s future and how it will impact the parity in the league.

Though not necessarily a totally new squad after buying the NorthPort franchise from last season, Guiao looks at them as a totally different team, with new owners, some new faces from the bench, and hopefully a new direction.

“They’re a new team pero I feel na any team na makalaban nila, may chance sila,” he said. “So I think that’s what’s important, parity and balance sa games, manonood ka and you’re not really sure on who’s gonna win the games. And that’s what will make the fans come and watch."
