WILLY Wilson has been appointed as the new head coach of Phoenix, the ball club announced on Thursday.
Wilson takes over from Jamike Jarin, who has been named as team consultant.

"Management believes that coach Willy will be a good fit for the team as it continues to pursue more success in Season 50," said the team in a statement.
"His experience both as a PBA player and coach will be an instrumental tool as he steers the best out of the Fuel Masters in the coming season," the team added.
Wilson rose from the ranks from his days as a player for the Fuel Masters from 2016 to 2018, to becoming assistant coach, shot-caller for the franchise's PBA 3x3 team Limitless, to head coach of its 5-on-5 squad.
The 45-year-old Wilson won a PBA championship with Barangay Ginebra during the 2008 Fiesta Cup. He was also a member of the La Salle team that won four straight UAAP titles from 1998 to 2001.
Wilson began with his new post starting this month.
