WILLIAM Navarro was immediately brought to the hospital for a check up after hurting his knee early in Game 2 of NorthPort's PBA Commissioner's Cup game against Barangay Ginebra.
William Navarro injury update
The rookie big man hurt his knee in the first quarter and didn't return to the game at the Philsports Arena.
He was later seen already in civvies and heading out of the venue.
Team insider said the special Gilas Pilipinas draftee went straight to the hospital to have his knee checked.
"Pa MRI niya yung tuhod niya," said the team insider.
The injury spoiled what had been a productive night for Navarro, who had 10 points in the first quarter alone.
The Batang Pier, who led by as many as 16 points in the opening period, lost the game, 99-93, and were swept by the Kings in their best-of-three series.
Ginebra will now battle no. 2 Magnolia in the best-of-five semis.
