TNT's 94-83 win over Magnolia dashed the hopes of both the Hotshots and Barangay Ginebra for a Top 4 finish and twice-to-beat advantage in the PBA Philippine Cup quarterfinals.
But that doesn't mean the Kings' final game in the elimination round against the Titan Ultra Giant Risers no longer has any bearing.

It's now a pick-your-poison situation for coach Tim Cone and his boys.
A win over the Giant Risers will have the Kings finishing at No. 5 and meeting No. 4 Converge FiberXers in the next round.
A loss on the other hand, relegates Ginebra to No. 7, which would mean a rematch with second seed Rain or Shine.

For the record, the Kings lost to the FiberXers in their lone encounter in the conference, 106-96, in a game where coach Tim Cone had some few words with Converge counterpart Delta Pineda after rookie Juan Gomez De Liano drove to the basket and scored despite the outcome of the game already been settled.
The Kings meanwhile, won over the Elasto Painters in Bahrain last Wednesday, 102-100, behind RJ Abarrientos and Scottie Thompson's go-ahead three in the dying seconds of a game they trailed by as many as 11 in the fourth quarter.
