Gozum finally came on board Phoenix after agreeing to a two-year deal that formally reunited him with his former college coach at St. Benilde.

Team manager Paolo Bugia confrmed the signing of the former NCAA juniors (Mapua) and seniors (Benilde) MVP on Saturday.
Blazers-turned-Fuel Masters
Aside from Gozum, Bugia also said the Fuel Masters signed comebacking guard JC Cullar.

The 27-year-old Cullar also played for Tiu and was teammates with Gozum in the Blazers when they reached the Season 98 finals, but lost to three-peat-seeking Letran.
The point guard already suited up for the Fuel Masters during the PBA Season 49 Philippine Cup, but left for Italy shortly after his father's demise.
Gozum was selected by Phoenix in the first round of the Season 50 draft at no. 8 overall after acquiring his draft rights from Converge for the no. 2 overall pick and shooting forward Bryan Santos.
The FiberXers eventually used the pick to select guard Juan Gomez De Liano.
The 6-foot-6 center-forward though, didn't play for the Fuel Masters right away as he finished his season with the Quezon Huskers, who reached the MPBL Finals for the second straight year, but lost to eventual champion the Abra North Weavers.
Cullar meanwhile, was a fourth round pick of Rain or Shine (no. 38) in the Season 48 draft, but never got to sign with the Elasto Painters.
The former St. Benilde team captain was later on picked by Phoenix in the free agent market in liue of guard Kent Salado.
