Acquired by Star in a trade with Mahindra during the offseason, Ramos unloaded back-to-back three-pointers in the final 90 seconds, the last one putting the Hotshots out of reach at 99-91.
"Masama yung first three quarters ko, buti na lang nung fourth, yung mga open shots ko na-shoot na," said Ramos, who finished with 12 points. "Happy ako na naka-contribute ako sa game na ito."
The lanky forward admitted he could feel the tension in the first game between the two teams since the blockbuster deal that sent longtime Hotshots superstar Yap to the Elasto Painters for Lee.
But he was quick to add that it was just another day in the office for the Hotshots.
"Hindi naman siguro (naging extra motivation), every game naman kailangan namin eh kasi nasa winning streak kami," said Ramose, whose team tied Rain or Shine with a 3-2 card.
"Continue lang namin (winning streak) di ba. Yun yung motivation namin, manalo."
More importantly, Ramos is hoping to ride the momentum ahead of their highly anticipated Christmas Day game against rival Ginebra on Christmas Day at the Philippine Arena in Bulacan.
"Hopefully (magtuloy-tuloy streak), kasi may Manila Clasico sa Christmas. Paghahandaan namin, one day break then balik na kami sa training," he said.
