WE all know about Tab Baldwin's impressive coaching credentials, which prompted the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP) to appoint him coach of Gilas Pilipinas to succeed Chot Reyes.
Not much, however, is known about Baldwin the player. But judging from what we saw during a lull in the tryouts for the Sinag Pilipinas team bound for the Southeast Asian Games and the Seaba championships, we surmise the American-New Zealander must be a pretty good player during his time.
The guy can definitely shoot.
Watch a video of the 56-year-old Gilas coach hit a cluster of three-pointers during a break in the Sinag tryouts on Tuesday night at the PhilSports Arena. The sweet stroke can definitely give Gilas shooters a run for their money.
Now that we've seen this, we're tempted to dig up Baldwin's credentials as a player. Definitely worth another story.
Stay tuned.
