MAHINDRA may have dropped its first game in the PBA Commissioner's Cup but save for a few lapses down the stretch, Alex Mallari was generally happy with how the Floodbuster performed in their debut.

The do-it-all forward once again shone for the Floodbuster as he scored 21 points and dished out seven assists on top of five boards and four steals.

The effort went down the drain as Mahindra came out at the losing end of a 94-86 game, but Mallari still saw the positives in the match.

"I think we gave ourselves a chance towards the end. We just made a couple of bad turnovers and little lapses on defense," Mallari said.

"The silver lining is that we can fix those. On to the next one," he added.

Mallari, however, wasn't in the mood to talk when asked about beauty queen MJ Lastimosa, who watched the game from Mahindra's side of the stands.

The 2014 Bb. Pilipinas Universe, stunning in her black tank top tucked in ripped jeans, was a sight to behold inside the almost bare Smart Araneta Coliseum stands.

People inside the venue started to speculate if she and Mallari are back together, but the Mahindra star guard was not about to add fuel to the fire.

“No comment!” said Mallari before breaking into a laugh.

Pressed if they are a couple, Mahindra said, “Still, no comment.”

Lastimosa gamely posed for a photo but also declined for an interview.

And oh, the two were seen together after the game.
