ALMOND Vosotros made a comeback with TNT on Friday just a few months after he was released before the start of the PBA Season 49 Philippine Cup.

Vosotros was signed back by the Tropang 5G after losing another point guard in Jielo Razon, who recently underwent surgery due to appendicitis. Online resources said recovery will require a minimum of one to two weeks, depending on the case.
TNT coach Chot Reyes was glad that Vosotros accepted the offer to come back, especially since the latter was supposed to be flying to Japan last Monday for a family vacation.
“Meron na siyang vacation to Japan. Nabili na ‘yung ticket, na-book na lahat ng hotel, with his whole family, his wife, and two kids, and he gave that up,” said Reyes.
“Kinansel niya ‘yun just to have this opportunity. This is really a big sacrifice for him and we’re very thankful.”

Already missing Jayson Castro and Rey Nambatac due to injuries, Reyes said they needed someone that could fill the gap and is familiar with the squad. Vosotros has been with the franchise since the days of PBA 3x3 before being released.
“We knew that we would need him here because we’ve lost Jielo Razon due to appendicitis. Naubos na mga point guard namin. Walang Jayson, walang Rey Nambatac. We figured that Almond could be a big help. We are very grateful for it,” said Reyes.
Almond wastes no time
Vosotros delivered immediately for the Tropang 5G, as he had 12 points on 16 minutes and 58 seconds of action and shot 4-of-7 from threes.
The comebacking TNT guard said he is just thankful to be able to return to the ballclub that also helped him get into new heights, including in the 3x3 circuit.
“Thank you sa opportunity. Thank you kay coach Chot, sa lahat ng coaching staff na nabigyan uli ako ng second chance,” said the 35-year-old Vosotros.
