ANTIPOLO – Magnolia coach Chito Victolero apologized on Sunday for confronting Alaska import Mike Harris on the court after his import Romeo Travis got injured.
Travis rolled his ankle in the third quarter after stepping on the foot of Harris while back-pedalling. A furious Victolero immediately entered the court to confront Harris, and only cooler heads prevented the situation from escalating.
Victolero, who was hit with a technical, later apologized during the postgame press conference, saying he got caught up in the heat of the moment.
“I’m also saying sorry to Mike because parang ‘yung (heat of the) moment na ‘yun. Hindi ako nakapag-sorry kanina, but he's a good guy,” said Victolero after Alaska's 100-71 victory that cut the Hotshots' lead to 2-1 in the PBA Governors Cup Finals.
"Maybe sa next game, try ko lumapit sa kanya to say sorry."
