VIC Manuel is unfazed with talks of him being linked to trade rumors and said that until a deal is approved, he remains a part of Alaska.
"At least may team pa rin, di ba? Mas mahirap pag wala kang team," he said, taking the positive route in approaching the issue.
The 32-year-old Licab, Nueva Ecija native's name has been floated as a possible trade asset for the Aces over the past few weeks.
And he did admit that he was approached by the management regarding the matter.
"Narinig ko na rin yan kasi last week kinausap na rin ako ni coach Jeff (Cariaso) at ni coach Danny (Ildefonso) about dyan. Even before pa nung (trade) kay (Chris) Banchero," he said.
"Syempre ako, ready lang ako sa kung anong mangyayari, kung ano yung magiging resulta. Kung ano yung mangyayari, ready lang tayo. Ganoon naman talaga yung business eh."
Manuel did show no signs of being bothered by these trade talks, posting a double-double of 23 points and 10 rebounds in Alaska's 106-99 victory over NorthPort on Sunday that kept its chances alive in the 2019 PBA Governors' Cup with its 3-6 card.
Deal or no deal, the PSBA standout said that he'll always give it his all whenever he takes the floor.
"Di natin masabi ngayon kasi talagang maraming changes sa Alaska eh," he said. "Waiting na lang ako kung anong mangyayari. Kung mag-stay, okay di ba? Kung matrade, eh ganoon talaga. Kailangang tanggapin natin kung anong magiging changes pa sa darating na linggo."
