VETERAN Vic Manuel is bound for a PBA comeback after signing what he referred to as a short-term contract with Converge.
“Oo, pumirma na ako,” Manuel confirmed to SPIN.ph on Tuesday after practicing with the FiberXers.

The 37-year-old forward earlier teased basketball fans on social media when he posted his Converge uniform bearing his old jersey No. 87.
The ‘Muscle Man’ last played for Terrafirma in the Season 49 Governors’ Cup before his contract expired last February. He wasn’t offered a contract renewal by the Dyip, thereby making him an unrestricted free agent.

Prior to signing with Converge, Manuel suited up for the Pangasinan Heatwaves in the MPBL, steering the team to the North Conference finals where they were swept by powerhouse Abra Weavers.
“Short lang (contract). Try ko muna ulit,” said Manuel of his deal with the FiberXers.
But the native of Licab, Nueva Ecija isn't sure yet whether he'll be able to see action for Converge right away when it plays an all-important game against NLEX on Wednesday for its final outing in the eliminations.
The FiberXers are currently embroiled in a four-way logjam at fourth place with NLEX, Magnolia, and TNT, all with 6-4 records and in the running for the last three remaining twice-to-win bonuses in the quarterfinals.
"Not sure kung bukas na (makakalaro)," said Manuel.
No memo was sent by the league to teams about a change in the FiberXers' lineup though, against the Road Warriors.
Under league rules, teams should be notified of any changes at least until 12 noon a day before a scheduled playdate.
