JORDON Varnado has been activated by Meralco for Friday’s game against Barangay Ginebra in the PBA 50th Season Governors’ Cup.
Varnado replaces Antonio Hester, as he is set to finally play as the Bolts' import this conference.

Meralco was forced to bring in Hester after Varnado dealt with a hamstring injury that kept him out for their first game against Phoenix Super LPG, which they lost by just one, 98-97, in playing all-Filipino.
Finally, the 29-year-old Varnado will suit up as a Bolt anew after his stint with them in the Basketball Champions League (BCL) Asia, a FIBA-organized tournament.

He also had stints in Israel, Greece, and Italy.
With the import change, Meralco will try to keep the Gin Kings off-guard, as it faces its finals rival on Friday in an important clash.
The Bolts are currently in last-place in Group B with a 2-5 record, but Ginebra is also off-form with a 2-3 slate entering the final game day before the league takes a break for Gilas Pilipinas.
Playing for his third team in the PBA, Hester had a respectable showing in temporarily taking the slot of Varnado, averaging 22.8 points, 10.7 rebounds, and 1.2 steals in six games.
