UNLESS Greg Slaughter agrees to a cut, a PBA comeback via the Titan Ultra Giant Risers remains dim.
Sources told SPIN.ph that Slaughter is asking for a monthly salary of P800,000 - an amount the Pureblends franchise is capable and willing to give, except that it comes with a lot of 'add-ons.'
“May mga dagdag na hinihingi si Greg. Aside from his monthly pay, he wants additional allowances, that’s apart from his bonuses ha,” said a source close to the Bryann Calantoc-owned PBA franchise.

Aside from the base pay, sources bared Slaughter is also asking for a monthly allowance, allowances for provincial games, and for the team to cover his trainer’s fee.
“Sa Pureblends kasi okay na 'yung unang sweldo ni Slaughter, ganun naman na kalakaran. Kaso yung may plus-plus pa, malabo na 'yun,” he said.
The source bared that Titan Ultra, a men’s health supplement brand, is also open to giving Slaughter twice his won game bonus.
“Kaso, hindi pinapansin. Di na namin kinulit,” said the source.

“Ang pagkakaalam ng Titan Ultra, 420k lang ang [PBA] max. But they’re willing to pay a competitive amount just so that they can compete in terms of recruitment,” he said.
For now, Titan Ultra is open to reopening negotiations with Slaughter, but did not deny the possibility of trading away the signing rights of the former Ateneo and Ginebra star, which the franchise inherited from NorthPort.
“If other teams want him, they can always approach us," said a team insider. "Afterall, he is still a seven-footer, a rare commodity in the league."
Asked how Pureblends will look into add much-needed size to its frontline, the source bared they’re looking for future trades and acquisition of free agent big men.
“Sa MPBL if may makuha kami after the season, kukuha kami. Kabisado ng team ang MPBL dahil galing sila dun,” said the insider.
