MONTALBAN – Terrafirma missed one of its key voices on the bench in its PBA Philippine Cup game against Phoenix on Wednesday which it lost, 107-76.
Head coach Ronald Tubid only had Jaren Jarencio by his side as another deputy, Jeff Napa, was at the Mall of Asia Arena to call the shots for National University in the in a 70-64 win over the Far Eastern University Tamaraws in the UAAP.

The 44-year-old Napa, who has been head coach of the Bulldogs since 2022, is the one who mostly designs the plays for the Dyip.
Terrafirma went down to its sixth straight loss after a 31-point beating at the hands of the Fuel Masters at the Ynares Center.
The younger Jarencio is also a part of the University of Santo Tomas coaching staff headed by his father Pido. The Tigers also had a game at the MoA, but played in the first game against University of the East and won handily, 109-97.

Terrafirma team manager Waiyip Chong, who also holds the same capacity at Santo Tomas, left Pasay City at halftime of the Tigers-Red Warriors game in order to arrive in time for Terrafirma’s outing against Phoenix.
“More than two hours ang biyahe,” he said of the travel time going to Ynares Center from MoA.
Unfortunately, the Dyip tumbled to a 1-6 record. The 31-point loss ranked fourth highest winning margin in Phoenix franchise history.
