LA Tenorio can't exactly put a finger on what's ailing Barangay Ginebra, but he is dead sure of one thing: the coach is doing his damn best.
"He (Siot Tanquingcen) is trying his best to adjust. Nakikinig naman siya, di naman siya yung hard-headed," said Ginebra's new point guard after the Gin Kings' loss to San Mig Coffee on Sunday - the team's fifth straight in the PBA Philippine Cup.
Tenorio is similarly clueless on what's bugging their offense, although he himself has been among the underperformers. His numbers for Ginebra - 10.29 points, 4.29 rebounds and 5.43 assists - are slightly lower than his stats for Alaska last season.
“Offensively, we’re having problems right now. So far magulo pa ang offense namin," he said.
The heady point guard, however, said the Kings need to go through the rough times as a team. "We need to stay together in times like these. We just can’t fall apart. This is part of learning process. We have to go through hard games and do or die games, but we just need to stick together,” he said.
