BLACKWATER goes for its third win in as many outings when it goes up against Converge on Wednesday in the PBA 48th Season Philippine Cup at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum.

The Bossing have compiled two wins to open their campaign including an 87-76 win over TNT on Saturday, putting them in joint first place with Terrafirma - the first time the two minnows have led the PBA standings ever.

In contrast, the FiberXers began the conference with two straight losses, dropping their recent game against NorthPort, 112-104, after squandering an 18-point deficit.
The reversal of form has gained a new plot twist as attention shifted to the PBA rookie draft and the right to th No. 1 pick.
The Bossing and Converge tied for the league's worst record in the Commissioner's Cup and how they finish in the all-Filipino tournament will likely determine who gets the top pick overall in the succeeding draft.

At the current pace, Converge has the inside track on that No. 1 selection.
As for Blackwater, coach Jeff Cariaso said the team remains focused on the task at hand and is not getting carried away by the sizzling start.
“You have to figure out how to win games while you are figuring out the team. And that’s where we are,” said Blackwater coach Jeff Cariaso.
Blackwater though hopes for a healthy Rey Nambatac for the match after he suffered a Grade One ankle sprain in the TNT match.
In the second game, Meralco battles NLEX at 7:30 p.m. with both teams seeking their second win in three matches in the conference.
On Saturday, the Bolts defeated Rain or Shine, 121-117, to claim their first win of the conference.
The Road Warriors, on the other hand, suffered a 99-95 defeat at the hands of Terrafirma on Sunday to join the Bolts in third place on 1-1 win-loss slates.
