TZADDY Rangel has been released by Gilas Pilipinas and will now be playing for NLEX in the coming PBA season, the Road Warriors announced.

The 6-foot-7 Rangel, selected third during the PBA Season 46 draft last March 2021, will add ceiling to the Road Warriors following the Gilas release.

A product of National University, Rangel played one game for Gilas Pilipinas in the Fiba Basketball World Cup Asian qualifiers. He only saw action for six minutes and tallied one rebound and two assist against India last February 25.

NLEX said Rangel has already worked out with the team. Head coach Yeng Guiao though said most of the players are still on vacation, and full practices will start later.

Rangel was one of the four players selected in the special draft last year, the others being Jordan Heading (Terrafirma), William Navarro (NorthPort), and Jaydee Tungcab (TNT).
