TYRUS Hill is still holding out hope that a reprieve will come which will allow him to be included in the final list of applicants for the upcoming PBA Rookie Draft.
But if not, the Fil-Am forward is willing to explore other options as he moves forward in his basketball career.
Marvin Espiritu, Hill's agent, said that the La Salle high-flyer remains in the United States and is keeping his fingers crossed that the pro league would give more leeway for him to complete his citizenship documents.
"Umaasa na lang kami na mapagbigyan, pero kung hindi man, tinitignan ni Tyrus kung saan pa pwede," he said.
Hill is among a handful of Fil-foreign players who have yet to submit the necessary papers from the Department of Justice (DOJ) and Bureau of Immigration (BI) proving his Filipino citizenship to the PBA.
But with just a day left before the deadline for submission of the pertinent documents, things look bleak for the 6-foot-5 stud.
Espiritu said Hill isn't withdrawing his name from the pool, but is waiting until the 11th hour for a miracle to come.
Three players, namely JJ Espanola, John Paul Zarco, and Ezra Ocampo, have already withdrawn their names from the list.
If not, Hill will continue his career, maybe through the PBA 3x3 where the eligibility is more flexible as he tries to complete all his documents before applying once again for the next draft exercise.
"We're still looking at our options, but we're still hoping na mapagbigyan pa rin," Espiritu said.
