No less than Phoenix governor and board treasurer Atty. Raymond Zorilla was present when the 22-year-old incoming sophomore signed on the dotted line.
Team manager Paolo Bugia and Tio’s representative PJ Pilares of Titan Management Group were also around.
Tio was the second-round pick (No. 14 overall) by Phoenix in last year’s draft, and proceeded to have a promising rookie season that saw him become one of the Fuel Masters’ most reliable players.

Nieto meanwhile, inked a two-year contract with Converge, which recenty acquired him in a trade with Rain or Shine for two future second-round picks.
A special Gilas draft pick in 2019 by Rain or Shine, Nieto was also represented by Titan Management Group as Pilares joined him during the contract signing in the presence of FiberXers coach Aldin Ayo, team manager Jacob Lao, and assistant team manager CJ Kanapi-Daniolco.
