MAGNOLIA brings in another new face for an import in the PBA Commissioner's Cup in the person of Tyler Bey.
Tyler Bey is new Hotshots import
Listed at 6-foot-7, Bey is a product of Colorado University and was a second round pick of the Philadelphia 76ers (no. 36) during the 2020 NBA draft.
The 25-year-old Bey played briefly for the Dallas Mavericks.
Magnolia management reached a deal with the import on Thursday and is expected to arrive by the second or third week of September.
Last year, the Hotshots tapped Serbian Nick Racocevic in the Commissioner's Cup, where the team reached the semifinals but lost to eventual champion Barangay Ginebra.
Racocevic though, is ineligible for another tour of duty with the franchise since he's over the height limit of 6-foot-9 and below. He currently plays for the Zhejiang Golden Bulls in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA).
