AFTER nearly two months, LA Tenorio and Terrence Romeo finally had the chance to bury the hatchet moments before Ginebra's 124-108 win over GlobalPort on Sunday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Seeing each other for the first time since that heated encounter in the Commissioner's Cup, Tenorio said Romeo approached him to clear the air.

The two exchanged hits in Ginebra's 96-85 win in the PBA Commissioner's Cup quarterfinals, which led to Romeo's ejection and an exchange of verbal jabs.

"Magkausap naman kami kanina before the game, wala naman 'yun, that's part of the game. Sabi n'ya, na-frustrate lang siya, sa akin naman wala namang kaso yun," said Tenorio, who scored a game-high 29 points spiked by five three-pointers.

"Ngayon lang rin kami nagkita, wala namang chance na kami mag-usap," he added.

Though Tenorio didn't go into detail on how the conversation went, the Ginebra star said that he never lost respect for Romeo or his game.

"Wala naman, sabi ko sa kanya may respeto pa rin naman sa kanya, di naman mawawala 'yun."

But the night clearl belonged to Tenorio, who shot the lights out to lead Ginebra to a convincing bounce back victory after an opening loss to Meralco.

Tenorio, who also added five boards and four assists, shot an impressive 11-for-17 from the field and was virtually unstoppable for the duration of the match.

The tough floor general out of Ateneo attributed that added confidence in having teammates who can get extra possessions when he misses.

"Kumpyansa ako kasi may apat akong malaki sa ilalim, malaking bagay 'yun. I think masyadong naka-focus sa ilalim kaya na-o-open up mga guards sa labas," said Tenorio.

"It's gonna be a big test for us also kung paano namin masusustain yung ganoong game."
