IT’S been a while since Troy Rosario came through with a spectacular play during a PBA game which he just did Wednesday night in TnT Katropa’s 104-92 win over Mahindra at the Astrodome.
The sophomore big man threw down a one-handed follow-up dunk in the waning seconds of the match following a missed attempt by Harvey Carey that served as the exclamation point in the win that snapped the Texters’s two-game losing skid in the Philippine Cup.
Rosario ended up with a team-high 18 points (7-of-11 from the field) and nine rebounds in the team’s fifth win in four outings.
Rosario said the swift motion came in an instant, and whether it was dazzling or not, it no longer matters to him as long as the team is winning.
“Matagal-tagal na din,” he said of the game’s final play.
The 24-year-old Rosario is playing inspired these days following the birth of his first baby, Zoey Isabelle.
Rosario takes pride in being hands-on as far as daddy duties are concerned. He personally changes Isabelle’s diaper and often times, would be the one to prepare the milk of his month-old daughter.
Rosario said it helped him that he was the one who took care of his younget sibling before, making it easier for him to baby sit now that he has a child of his own.
And there are no sleep-deprived nights for him yet.
The arrival of Isabelle in his and partner Mich Aguas’ life has made him even more responsible, according to Troy.
“Dagdag responsibility yun.
That also means good news for the TnT Katropa.
