The former NU star, who also declined offers from Converge and TNT, is now expected to fill the huge gap in the middle for the Kings following injuries to Isaac Go and Jamie Malonzo.

Rosario, 32, opted to try his worth in the market when his previous deal with Blackwater expired.

He refused a max offer from the Bossing, who acquired him in a three-team trade two years ago that also involved NLEX Road Warriors and the Bossing.

Long identified with the TNT franchise where he spent the first seven seasons of his pro career, the product of both Technological Institute of the Philippines (TIP) and National University received a number of interests from other teams, specifically the Converge FiberXers and the Tropang Giga.

Rosario and his representative Marvin Espiritu of EMBM (Espiritu Manotoc Basketball Management) entertained those offers, but at the end, the player chose the team where his heart is.

A former volleyball player and son of a farmer, Rosario admitted his family has been an ardent Barangay Ginebra fan ever since, and with the opportunity to play for the PBA’s most popular ballclub opening on him, he didn’t waste time to join the Kings and learn under legendary coach Tim Cone.

It was a no brainer, indeed.
