TROY Rosario attended his first practice with Blackwater on Monday, just two days before the Bossing play the opening game of the 2022 PBA Commissioner’s Cup against the Bay Area Dragons.
The 30-year-old Rosario joined the Bossing on the same day the league approved a three-team, five-player, two-draft pick deal involving TNT and NLEX.

Given the short period of time before the team's conference debut, Blackwater coach Ariel Vanguardia said Rosario's minutes might be limited against the Dragons.
He expects though Rosario will be able to adjust quickly as he logs practice time in the next coming days.
“He will be on minutes restriction,” said Vanguardia.
Rosario's move to Blackwater ended his seven-year association with TNT.
Together with Gab Banal, TNT gave up Rosario in exchange of Calvin Oftana and Raoul Soyud, who were acquired by the Bossing for Brandon Ganuelas-Rosser and two future draft picks.
Rosario was just coming off a finals appearance for the Tropang Giga when the ballclub lost in Game Seven of the championship series to San Miguel.
Vanguardia though knows what the Gilas Pilipinas regular can bring to Blackwater as it tries to stay competitive after reaching the quarterfinals of the Philippine Cup.
“Of course, team chemistry-wise, we still have a lot of catching up. Pero as an individual, he’s talented and experienced enough to adjust,” said Vanguardia of the three-time Southeast Asian Games gold medalist.
