EMOTIONS, as expected, ran high at the end of the PBA Commissioner's Cup match-up between San Miguel and TNT on Monday night after the Beermen's Louie Vigil left the game with a bloodied nose.
The culprit?
According to members of the SMB coaching staff, the rookie out of University of Santo Tomas was at the receiving end of an elbow from TNT forward Don Trollano at the end of the Beermen's 121-110 victory.
The SMB staffers claimed Trollano's extra motion happened after the final buzzer.
Vigil, however, said he didn't see who hit him and declined to comment further, so as not to fuel the fire.
SMB coach Leo Austria said that he didn't witness the incident since he was talking to TNT coaches, but expressed hope that the league take action if the accusations are prove true.
"I didn't see it but if proven sana and pag nakita sa tape, sana mabigyan ng necessary penalties, because last game ganun din," Austria said.
Approached later on, Nash Racela said he had no idea what happened but chose to throw shots at the officiating.
"I don't know what happened. Tanungin niyo kung bakit ganun ang tawag nila," Racela said.
