The Tropang GIGA clash with the Elasto Painters at 5:45 p.m. After winning their opening game of the conference, TNT also guns for a share of first place with Meralco and Converge in the team standings.
TNT is coming off a 123-119 win over Phoenix Super LPG on Wednesday in Jojo Lastimosa’s first game as head coach.
Lastimosa said the Tropang GIGA will continue to be shorthanded early in the tournament with injuries to Poy Erram, Ryan Reyes, and Brian Heruela.
But the head coach who also serves as the team manager expressed confidence that the current line-up will be able to put together a couple of wins.
“Right now we will survived with this line-up. We have a good line-up that could win a couple more games,” said Lastimosa.
Incidentally, in his next game, Lastimosa will be facing off against Yeng Guiao, his head coach when they were still together with NLEX.
The Elasto Painters are out to bounce back from their 105-87 loss to Meralco last Sunday at the start of the conference.
In the first game, Phoenix Super LPG and Blackwater collide at 3 p.m. after their defeats in their first outing of the conference.
The Fuel Masters hung tough against the Tropang GIGA before falling by four points.
The Bossing, on the other hand, were routed by NLEX, 124-102, to also go down to 0-1 at the start of their campaign.
