SAN Miguel tries to score consecutive wins over TNT, which looks to regain the edge as they the Beermen and KaTropa play Game Five of the PBA Commissioner’s Cup finals on Wednesday night at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum.
Gametime is set at 7 p.m.
The Beermen avoided a big hole by beating the KaTropa, 106-101, on Sunday to tie the series at two games apiece.
San Miguel import Chris McCullough, Alex Cabagnot, and June Mar Fajardo had big games in Game Four, combining for 74 points.
“I hope this game will give us some momentum and confidence going to the Game 5,” said San Miguel coach Leo Austria. “The series was already reduced to a best-of-three and it's really hard to win against Talk 'N Text because they're really prepared against us. They are really very eager to beat us, because they know, this is their opportunity.”
On a night when he was handed the Best Import award, Terrence Jones played all 48 minutes and finished with 32 points, 18 rebounds, six assists, six steals and two blocks, but the effort was not enough to tow the KaTropa to victory.
Troy Rosario and Best Player of the Conference Jayson Castro had their usual numbers but noticeably off in Game Four was RR Pogoy, who had nine points and shot just 3 of 12 from the field.
