TNT management admitted already knowing the culprit behind the damage left in the team dugout at the Mall of Asia Arena in the aftermath of its Game 2 loss to Barangay Ginebra in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup Finals.
Although the offender had been pinpointed, team manager Jojo Lastimosa said the team would rather not make his identity public.
But Lastimosa said the culprit would be made to pay for the total cost of the damaged dugout wall.

“Yes (because) it’s a non-court incident,” said the TNT team manager when asked if it would be charged through salary deduction of the involved personnel.
The TNT organization is just awaiting advice from the Commissioner’s Office on the exact amount the team will have to pay after the wall inside the Tropang Giga dugout was shattered following a 71-70 heartbreaker against the Kings on Sunday night.
“We were already notified,” said the PBA great turned team official.

Commissioner Willie Marcial said the usual procedure for such incident is for management of the playing venue to assess and then sum up the total cost of the damage to be billed to the PBA office.
The league, in turn, will forward the bill to the team involved for payment.
While the Tropang Giga would rather keep the identity private, speculations swirled around controversial big man Poy Erram, who left the court late in the third quarter after another outburst, initially for a non-call on Ginebra import Justin Brownlee following a missed layup, followed by an unnecessary foul by the TNT veteran on Brownlee at the other end of the court.
The 35-year-old Erram angrily retreated to the dugout where he was later caught on video kicking some of the team stuff left just outside the door.
A few minutes later, he returned to the TNT bench and was back playing on the court midway through the final quarter. He finished with six points and five rebounds on 3-of-4 shooting from the field.
