TNT Katropa is not about to take it easy even with its current unbeaten run in the PBA Governors Cup.
The team is set to acquire young marksman Mike DiGregorio after striking a deal with Blackwater on Friday as the Katropa add another deadly piece to their array of shooters.
The deal involved Fil-Am guard Brian Heruela, who makes a return to the same franchise that picked him in the third round (26th overall) of the 2014 draft.
Trade papers had already been submitted to the PBA office for approval as confirmed to SPIN.ph by persons privy to the deal.
DiGregorio, a fourth round pick (35th overall) by Mahindra in the 2015 draft who has risen to become one of the league's deadly gunners, is reportedly been long coveted by TnT active consultant Mark Dickell, whose system primarily puts premium on outside shooting.
Ironically, both DiGregorio and Heruela played possibly their last game with their current teams at the Ynares Center in Antipolo.
DiGregorio topscored for 22 points in a losing cause for Blackwater against Meralco, 106-97.
Heruela, who had just come back from a shoulder injury, finished with three points in the Katropa's 99-93 overtime win over the Alaska Aces that hiked their league-best record to 7-0.
