TNT management said it felt bad that a well-played PBA Commissioner's Cup Finals between San Miguel and the Katropa will be tainted with a racist slur coming from one of the league's veteran and multi-titled players.

TNT team manager Gabby Cui said the Katropa are sad that San Miguel forward Arwind Santos, who he describes as one who has 'so much experience and championships' will resort to that.

Cui of course is referring to the monkey taunt Santos did on the San Miguel bench directed to TnT import Terrence Jones after the former NBA player committed a violation late in the second period of Game 5.

The TnT manager, a former PBA player himself, stressed that racism has no place in sports or in life.

"Even via jokes or mind games," he added.

At the same time, Cui urged the PBA to closely look into the incident.

"It's not what our league is all about," he said.

Santos admitted the act shortly after the game which the Beermen won, 99-94.

But he said the gesture was just part of the mind games he's employing in the ongoing title series. The 2013 league MVP even made it clear he will not apologize for his action.

Cui said Santos, a 14-year veteran, should have known better.

"He should look at his own teammates before doing those actions. It's disrespectful even to them," said the TnT official.

SPIN.ph is open to hear the side of San Miguel management on the matter.
