TNT ended its campaign in the Abu Dhabi International Basketball Championship with a 94-53 loss to Al Riyadi on Wednesday night.

The Tropang 5G were beaten by the Lebanon club team after being outscored in the second quarter, 26-14, and being limited to only seven points in the third for their second loss of the tournament after three games in the group stage.

RR Pogoy had 10 points for the all-Filipino TNT crew.

Maurice Kemp had 24 points and 11 rebounds, while fellow import Ivan Buva added 18 points and seven rebounds for Al Riyadi. Lebanese national team member Hayk Gyokchyan finished with 19 points, four rebounds, and three assists.

TNT turns attention to Philippine Cup

The Tropang 5G won their lone game last Tuesday against UAE squad Al Dhafra, 98-76, following a loss to Al Sharjah, 93-74, to open the tournament last Monday.

The Abu Dhabi tournament is part of TNT’s preparations for the PBA 50th Season which will open on Sunday. The Tropang 5G’s first game of the Philippine Cup will be against Phoenix on October 10 at the Ynares Center-Montalban.
