TROPANG TNT management is questioning why Ivan Johnson was banned from the PBA without at least being summoned to the Commissioner’s office for an explanation.
The Texters import played his last game in Asia’s first pro league on Saturday after having an altercation with league commissioner Chito Narvasa in TNT’s game against Meralco at the Philsports Arena.
Team manager Virgil Villavicencio read a text message from one of the team’s upper management.
“Why ban a player for life without due process? We’re talking about careers being affected.”

Asked who the text was from, Villavicencio said it was from “one of his bosses.”
Villavicencio said they would’ve readily accepted the decision had he gone through due process.
“Whatever the decision is, dapat due process,” he said.
The amiable team manager said they have a “backup” import, which they hope would arrive before their next game on Friday.
