TNT and Magnolia clash in an important match on Wednesday night in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum.
The KaTropa battle the Hotshots at 7 p.m.
TNT (9-1) is seeking to enter the quarterfinals on a high note as the KaTropa will clinch the top seed in the playoffs with a victory over Magnolia.
Terrence Jones is expected to lead the charge once more for the KaTropa in their bid to win their eighth straight victory.
Even though they are already assured of a twice-to-beat advantage in the quarterfinals, the KaTropa can still fall to second spot with a loss against the Hotshots.
Magnolia, meanwhile, is looking to break a three-game losing streak. The Hotshots are in a share of fifth place with San Miguel with a 5-5 card but can still slide to seventh place with a defeat against the KaTropa.
In its bid to end its losing streak, Magnolia brought in former NBA player Rakeem Christmas as its new import, replacing James Farr.
In an equally important match-up, San Miguel and Meralco collide in the first game at 4:30 p.m.
The Beermen are eyeing to secure a place in the top six with a victory over the Bolts, who are in need of a win to force a playoff for the eighth and final spot in the quarterfinals.
San Miguel is looking to extend its winning run to four games with Chris McCollough at the helm, while Meralco is seeking to end a five-game losing skid.
