TnT Katropa heads to Laguna on Wednesday for the start of its team workouts without one of its top players and its prize acquisition in the offseason.
Bobby Ray Parks and Simon Enciso won’t be with the team in its bubble training at the Inspire Academy Sports in Calamba on Day 1 of the Katropa’s individual training as both guards are still in the U.S.
But communication has already been sent out for Parks and Enciso for them to return to the country as soon as they can and join the team as it prepares for a possible start of the PBA season.
“We have two players who are overseas right now because of personal reasons, si Bobby Ray at si Enciso. We’ve already asked them to wrap up what they’re doing there,” said TnT governor and PBA chairman Ricky Vargas on Tuesday in the Philippine Sportswriters Association (PSA) online Forum.
“Andi f they can wrap it up fast, we asked them to come back and join the team because we’ve already started practicing.”

The Katropa, however, will be staying in the Laguna bubble located inside the National University satellite campus for just three weeks, giving the two little time to work out with the team considering they still have to undergo swab testing and quarantine once they arrive in the country.
“They will have to go to the appropriate screening to ascertain that they are healthy as well,” said Vargas.
Nonetheless, the Katropa are raring to get back on the court just like the rest of the teams, some of which already began training on Tuesday.
“Tnt will be having its own bubble at Inspire, so that’s where we will be,” said Vargas. “We’re ready to go. So on the 26th, we will all travel to Inspire.”
