TNT forward Anthony Semerad likely sustained an AC separation after a collision with Ginebra import Justin Brownlee late in Game One of the best-of-five semis in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup on Friday at the Araneta Coliseum.
Team physical therapists and medical staff suspected AC separation (acromioclavicular joint separation), which is described as an injury where "the clavicle (collar bone) separates from the scapula (shoulder blade)."
“It’s an AC joint separation, so basically the bone attached to the shoulder is parang dislocated,” said TNT physical therapist Dexter Aseron.
At posting time, Semerad was being readied to be taken to a hospital for an x-ray.
